
Family Fun Night in the Park
Mount Carmel City Park will host Family Fun Night in the Park on Friday, April 25th from 6:30-9pm. They’ll have yard games, food available and a giant outdoor movie beginning at dusk. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. It’s free.
Art Struck Festival
The Art Struck Festival will be Saturday, April 26th from 10-5 in the Pavillion at Founders Park in Johnson City. Pet Vaccine Clinic
The Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter will hold a special pet vaccine clinic on Saturday, April 26th from 10am-noon at 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive. Rabies Vaccination is $10, Dog and Cat Combo shots are $15 and Flea Medications are also available.
Bag-A-Bargain Thrift Sale
The Junior League of Johnson City will host Bag-a-bargain, The Ultimate Thrift Sale Saturday, April 26th with free admission from 9am-3pm at Fairmont Elementary School Gym, 1405 Lester Harris Road. They’ll have clothing in all sizes, home goods and décor, toys, books, games, small appliances, furniture, electronics and more. Every purchase helps support the Junior League of Johnson City’s mission-training and empowering women to serve and strengthen the community.
Annual Boone Lake Cleanup Day
The Annual Boone Lake Cleanup Day will be Saturday, April 26th! Volunteer to help cleanup the lake and with every bag of trash you turn in, you get a door prize ticket, a t-shirt and you are invited to the picnic at Winged Deer Park with prize drawings, free food and music. Spring Garden Fair
The Spring Garden Fair will be Saturday April 26 from 10-5 and Sunday April 27th from noon-5 at Exchange Place Living History Farm in Kingsport. There will be thousands of plants for sale and much more. Admission at the gate is $5 for ages 12 and up, free for those under 12 and proceeds will help feed and care for the farm animals, provide educational programming and help with restoration and upkeep of the site.
Spring Day of Caring
The Spring Day of Caring at Darrell’s Boundless Playground at Warriors Path State Park is Saturday, April 26th from 8am-3pm. The playground will be closed during this time so volunteers can work to clean it up. If you would like to volunteer your time to help out, call Cole at 423-239-8531.
Jericho Shriners Comics, Toys and Collectibles Show
The Jericho Shriners Directors Staff Comics, Toys and Collectibles Show is set for Saturday May 3rd from 9-3 at the Shriners Temple, exit 63 off I-81 in Blountville. Kingsport Arts Festival
The Kingsport Arts Festival is set for May 3rd from noon-5pm on the 100 block of Shelby Street downtown. They’ll have free activities for all ages, free demos, vendors and more!
Bark in the Park
The Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter will host an Easter themed Bark in the Park on Saturday May 12th from 1-3pm at King Commons Park in Johnson City. They’ll have a live DJ, food, vendors, Pet contests and activities for kids. All pets must be leashed at all times. It’s free!
Appalachian Trail Days Festival
The Appalachian Trail Days Festival is the biggest event of the year in Damascus and the World’s largest celebration of the Appalachian Trail and hiker culture. Trail Days will be May 16-18 this year, rain or shine. It includes over a hundred vendors of handmade goods, some of the best outdoor gear and a packed schedule of live music and events. Wayne Scott Strawberry Festival
The 22nd Annual Wayne Scott Strawberry Festival is Saturday, May 17th from 10-5 at Unicoi Elementary School, 403 Massachusetts Avenue in Unicoi. You’ll find over 150 vendors, live music and delicious food. Admission is free!
Glow in the Park
Bring the whole family out for Glow in the Park on Friday May 23rd at 7pm at 201 Willow Street in Mt Carmel. They’ll have yard games, great food available, a dance party, a glow foam pit and a movie which will begin at dusk. Everyone is welcome!
Gate City Jeep Jam
The 4th Annual Jeep Jam is Saturday May 24th from 10-4 in downtown Gate City, Virginia. They’ll have a Jeep Show, vendors, live music, inflatables for the kids and much more. Bring the whole family!
Blue Plum Festival

Car Show
The 33rd Annual Car Show sponsored by Ridge Runners Rods & Customs is set for Saturday, June 3rd from 10-3 at Hardin Park, 602 crescent Drive in Greeneville. Entry fee is $10 and proceeds will benefit the Greeneville/Greene County Humane Society. They’ll be food, music, plaques and door prizes too!
Midsummer Market
The Midsummer Market will be Saturday, June 21st from 10am-8pm at King Common’s Park in Johnson City. It’s a celebration of local businesses with unique vendors, live music and food trucks with a variety of options. Admission is free!
Sunflower Festival
The Annual Mountain City Sunflower Festival is set for Saturday, July 12th from 9-5 on Main Street in Mountain City. Shop over 200 vendors. Admission is free.
