John Fogerty has just announced that he will be embarking on an 11-date ‘The Legacy Tour’ this fall to support his new album, Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival Years, which features 20 re-recorded CCR classics like “Fortunate Son” and “Bad Moon Rising.” Kicking off on Halloween in Atlantic City, and concluding November 14 in Boston, the tour includes stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Virginia Beach, and Newark, with tickets on sale August 27. Hearty Har, which features John’s sons Shane and Tyler, will open all dates on the tour. The album marks a full-circle moment for Fogerty, who recently gained ownership of the CCR catalog and their master recordings after decades of legal battles. The 80-year-old music legend co-produced the record with his son Shane, and he was supported on the project by longtime collaborators Matt Chamberlain, Bob Malone, Bob Glaub, and Rob Stone, who may also join Fogerty on his tour.
